Professor Jessica Brinkworth of Anthropology contributes to COVID-19 variants primer

Assistant Professor Jessica Brinkworth participated in the construction of a new classroom COVID-19 primer. The primer addresses the rise of new, more competitive SARS-CoV-2 variants

Professor Brinkworth's contribution focuses on anthro themes, more specifically the social determinants of virus evolution, such as crowding, social stress, lack of care and how they constitute greater host population.

Professor Brinkworth has also been one of the main contributors and principal investigators in LHEAP (Labor, Health, Equity, Action Project), an interdisciplinary protect which studies the intersections of the structural, socio-cultural, and immunity factors involved in transmission of SARS COVID 19.
