Professor Laura Shackelford and collaborators, including Fabrice Demeter, professor of anthropology at the University of Copenhagen, have been excavating in Tam Pa Ling cave in northeastern Laos for the last fifteen years. Among their most valuable findings were modern human remains which change our perceptions about human migration in Laos.
